Heap on more wood!---the wind is chill;
But let it whistle as it will,
We'll keep our Christmas merry still.
--- Sir Walter Scott
When we woke up this morning it was snowing! I was awake and thinking of getting up(but not wanting to just yet) when I heard Pansy, our cat, scratching at the cardboard we put up to block the door so she can't get into the bedroom. I know, maybe mean, but since she goes outside I don't want any ticks, etc. in the bed! Anyway, she jumped over the piece of cardboard and came to my side of the bed with a little "meow" which prompted me to scoop her up and open the curtains and lo' and behold SNOW! That is what she was telling us ! :o) Anyway, I got my camera and took a few pitiful pictures, but you get the idea. It was really coming down with huge snowflakes and sticking more than the pictures show, but now it is gone. So pretty and quiet. They say we might get a bit more in the next day or two so we will see!
Can you see the flakes?

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow
by Sammy Cahn and Jule Styne, written in 1945
~~~~~
Oh the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
And since we've no place to go
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!
~~~~~
It doesn't show signs of stopping
It doesn't show signs of stopping
And I've bought some corn for popping
The lights are turned way down low
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!
~~~~~
When we finally kiss goodnight
How I'll hate going out in the storm!
But if you'll really hold me tight
All the way home I'll be warm
~~~~~
The fire is slowly dying
And, my dear, we're still goodbying
But as long as you love me so
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
HAVE A RELAXING DAY!
