HAPPY EASTER !

Your stone is rolled away!

Concern yourself but with To-day;
 Woo it, and teach it to obey
Your will and wish.  Since time began
To-day has been the friend of man,
But in his blindness and his sorrow
He looks to Yesterday and To-morrow.

Continued Easter Blessings
my friends.

Easter Eve

Dear Sis - Your card rec.  Sorry you have been sick.  Have been pretty sick myself, but all fine now.  The folks are all up here now.  Myrlte & Lala are lot larger than an arm.  Houman hasn't had the hooping cough yet.  Loving sis, Sib.

Get into the habit of looking for the silver lining of the cloud, and when you have found it, continue to look at it rather than at the leaden gray in the middle.  It will help you over many hated places.

The Book of Good Cheer

1911

The laughter of the little brook
That runs its merry way,
From the mountain-sides of Yesterday
To the meadows of To-day;

In the song of every happy bird,
In the bloom of every flower,
In the blue, blue sky above us,
And the sun behind the shower;

In the laughter of the children,
In the faces that they bear, ---
Behold the joyous tidings,
And the glory everywhere!

There's a smile wher'er we journey,
There's a laugh we all may hear,
If we'll only hark and listen
To the Gospel of Good Cheer.

--- Edwin Osgood Grover

I am bigger than anything that can happen to me.  All these things, sorrow, misfortune and suffering, are outside my door.  I am in the house and I have the key.

Lunar Eclipse on April 14th and 15th

This was taken the night before the
actual full moon as I was waiting
for the lunar eclipse.

Did you stay up?

We had a few clouds that night,
but still very visible.

It was worth staying up until 3 am.

The moon is a friend for the lonesome to talk to.

Tulip Girls

This gorgeous photo was taken at a tulip festival in Oregon.
I think it is one of the loveliest photos I have ever seen.
The tulip colors and girl's dresses are just beautiful together.
The trees are so green and the sky is so blue.

Poor, dear, silly Spring,
preparing her annual
surprise!

Guess what we stumbled upon today on our day trip to Mendocino? The Parade Of Fools !
It was about 5 pm and we were just returning to our car after climbing around the bluffs above the beautiful Pacific Ocean and we heard some yelling and laughing and beating of drums. And there they were.......a parade of fools! So funny and inspiring. Some were dressed up and the kids were having so much fun! It made you want to just join right in! The woman in purple seemed to be the ringleader and she was asking the "fools" to tell silly jokes. It was windy and I tried to get a good pic of their sign without much luck.
Here they come!
The sign-holders (so cute!) waiting for
the rest of the "fools".

Everyone catching up and telling jokes.

Onward to the next block and inside they went to
Out of this World, a store that sells
binoculars, telescopes and science toys.

I wished I had gotten a group pic, but I was in such a state of surprise that I was dumbfounded!
