JAPAN rescue and Kevin Clash, the man behind Elmo

Yes, I have disappeared for a
 couple of weeks.  Not much
more to say about that (or
at least at this time.)
I did want to share a couple
of things that I hope you
will find uplifting during
 this sad time for
 Japan and the world.

Sixty-year-old survivor Hiromitsu
Shinkawa waves from wreckage,
 as crew members of Japan
Maritime Self-Defence Force (JMSDF)
Aegis vessel Choukai rescue him.

"A 60-year-old man was rescued two
days after he was swept miles out
to sea on the roof of his house by the
huge tsunami which hit Japan Friday,
plucked to safety at 12:40 p.m local
time Sunday (10:40 p.m. Saturday ET)
after he  was spotted nine miles off
shore by the crew of a Maritime
Self-Defense Force destroyer, the AFP
said."  To read the rest of this msn
 article, please click HERE
Such good news during this distressing
time.  Can you imagine the joy, both the
rescuers and Hiromitsu must have felt
when they saw each other?
I am sending Hiromitsu and all
 his country-people loving
 thoughts and prayers.
Please join me.

And lastly, to leave you
feeling happy and I hope,
 in a good mood,
 this wonderful interview about
Kevin Clash, the man who is Elmo!

Mom & Pop Culture's website.
 This new documentary,
 "Being Elmo: A Puppeteer's Journey"
is directed by Constance Marks.
What a nice story showing
Kevin's life and journey as a
puppeteer and becoming not
only Elmo, but several other
characters over the years.
Thanks Kevin for the laughs
and the sweet disposition
 of dear Elmo!
Several years ago, Elmo
was on the Martha Stewart
show and I remember he
said several funny comments
that were just shy of adult
humor....I got such a kick
out of him and have loved
him from that day on.  I was
so happy to see this article
and learn about this talented
 man.  Little Elmo seems so
real, it's hard to believe there
is a man behind the puppet!
