Healing

For those in need of healing.
Unity's Daily Word - Healing
WHOLENESS IS MY TRUE NATURE.
I am innately whole and healthy.  Divine Life
 is real, abiding, and eternal, and I am Life in expression.  To experience the fullness of Life,
I first realize that I live, move, and have my being in the universal life flow of God.
I center my feelings, thoughts, and words
 on Oneness and the perfect Life within me.
 I feel and know Life is present and available
 to me in all its fullness.  When my mind is focused on the divine idea of wholeness, I am
in conscious harmony with the rhythm and
flow of Divine Life.
I demonstrate wholeness in mind and body.
Wholeness is my true nature and my birthright.  I confidently claim it by affirming:
 LIFE, SWEET LIFE!

HOPE and POSSIBILITIES

I guess I am on a Deepak Chopra kick.   :o)
I wanted to share a couple more quotes from him.  He and Oprah are doing a 21 day meditation online for free.  They seem to do them every 4 months or so.  This time I am listening to the beginning, but haven't been meditating.  There are 10 days left, plus they save the previous 5 days, so there is
still time to sign up HERE .

Full Moon (again)

Another full moon.
  This one is the Sturgeon Moon.

To awaken each morning with a smile brightening my face; to approach my work with a clean mind; to hold ever before me, the Ultimate Purpose toward which I am working; to meet men and women with laughter on my lips and love in my heart; to be gentle, kind, and courteous through all the hours; to approach the night with weariness that ever woos sleep and the joy that comes from work well done --- this is how I desire to waste wisely my days.

Good bye July 2014

Another month has passed.

I am looking forward to the month of August.

Are you?

We hope to make it over to the coast this month for our anniversary.  We haven't
 spent the night there for 2 years.

As I let go and become aware of God's spirit within me, I am inspired and
guided to do my best.

End of June

Another month has come and gone and we are 1/2 way through the year of 2014.
I have been going through items that were in storage and it has been hard to know what to keep and what to let go of.   Most of these items and papers have been gone through 2 other times and I don't think there is anything else I can release.  But we shall see.

"I am going on my journey glad with joy from dawn to dark.
With the spirit of the morning and the carol of the lark.
I am drinking of these fountains whence the healing waters flow,
And I hear heaven's sweetest music as along my way I go.
And my heart is full of laughter like the singing of  a psalm;
My sky bends blue above me with its winds of evening balm,
And I know not any trouble, for I have the tempest's King
To change my winter's fury to gladness of his spring."

Black Bean & Roasted Sweet Potato Burgers

 I actually made another recipe today.  Like
 all of us, I have tons of recipes to try, but seem to do only 2 a year!  This one is from Kris Carr
 and looked delish. (and was)  It doesn't look like her photo, but even Mike liked it and that
 is saying a lot!  It took a while to do...had to
make rice and also roast the sweet potato,
but it did make 6 so I froze the other four.
I had a bit of rice and roasted sweet potatoes left over, so I steamed some brocolli
and mixed it all together with a bit of pesto
 on top.  Served over some wilted greens too.

The below photo was taken a few years ago
 off the Mendocino Coast in Northern California.

Oh my goodness, the end of May!

It just seems impossible to think that
 5 months of 2014 have already passed.
I know that all of a sudden it will be
 mid-August, then Halloween and finally
Christmas !    But for now I will look
forward to the month of June and all
it's glories.   Please join me.

Apple Blossom Time

 Apple blossoms with bee.

~~~ I'll be with you in apple blossom time
I'll be with you to change your
name to mine
One day in May, I'll come and say
Happy surprise that the sun
 shines on today
What a wonderful wedding there will be
What a wonderful day for you and me
Church bells will chime
You will be mine in apple
blossom time
I'll be with you, when?
 In apple blossom time
Then what will you do?
Then, I'll be with you to change
 your name to mine
When will that be?
One day maybe in May
Then what will you do?
I'll come and say to you dear
Happy surprise that the sun
 shines on today
Then what a wonderful wedding there will be
One day in May
What a very, very wonderful day for
 you and me dear
Church bells will chime
You will be mine, when? In apple, in apple blossom time. ~~~
  (I'll Be With You) In Apple Blossom Time was written by Albert Von Tilzer and lyricist Neville Fleeson in 1920.
Make one person happy each day and in forty years you have made 14,600 human beings happy for a little time at least.
Full Flower Moon and Enchanting Planet Earth
The Flower Moon of May is sometimes referred to as the Corn Planting Moon because corn is ready to plant.  Other full moon names include the Hare Moon and the Milk Moon.
When it warms up here at the Cottage
 we have large gnats called Lake County gnats, a type of midge.  They measure
about 3/4 of an inch wide and resemble  a mosquito, making a high pinch buzz and really annoying if one gets  inside the house.   They only live long enough to mate and lay their eggs....usually within a week or can die within a day too.  But since there are thousands of them in swarms they always seem to be around.  They appear at dusk.   Fortunately they don't bite.
I just found an enlightening video I wanted to share with you about astronauts and their profound experiences (The Overview effect) after viewing planet Earth from space.  It is 19 minutes long, but worth every minute, especially around 3:45 into it.   The images are simply incredible.  To watch (and please do)  CLICK HERE
The Overview effect is a cognitive shift in awareness reported by some astronauts and cosmonauts during spaceflight, often while viewing the Earth from orbit or from the lunar surface.  It refers to the experience of seeing firsthand the reality of the Earth in space, which is immediately understood to be a tiny, fragile ball of life, "hanging in the void", shielded and nourished by a paper-thin atmosphere. From space, the astronauts tell us, national boundaries vanish, the conflicts that divide people become less important, and the need to create a planetary society with the united will to protect this "pale blue dot"  becomes both obvious and imperative.  From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overview_effect
What was most significant about the lunar voyage was not that men set foot on the moon, but that they set eye on the earth.
FOXGLOVES
O Solitude! if I must with thee dwell,
Let it not be among the jumbled heap
Of murky buildings: climb with me the steep,-
Nature's observatory-whence the dell,
In flowery slopes, its river's crystal swell,
May seem a span; let me thy vigils keep
'Mongst boughs pavilioned,
where the deer's swift leap
Startles the wild bee from the foxglove bell.
But though I'll gladly trace these scenes
with thee,
Yet the sweet converse of an innocent mind,
Whose words are images of thoughts refined,
Is my soul's pleasure; and it sure must be
Almost the highest bliss of human-kind,
When to thy haunts two kindred spirits flee.
--- John Keats
My 4 foxgloves I planted last year (there's a yellow one on the left side not seen) finally blooming this year !   I would love to have a long flower bed with these along the back.
